A waterfall is as consistent as its conduit; a pitcher is as consistent as its contents.
A waterfall flows guaranteeing consistency, growth, and hope because waterfalls have conduits which are channels of water that provides an endless supply of resource.
On the other hand, a pitcher will pour into a glass guaranteeing an end point, emptiness, an end because the pitcher can only guarantee the content it contains; the pitcher is conduit-less.
Do you give as a waterfall or do you give as a pitcher? Do you choose to pour or do you choose to flow?
Giving to people was never meant to be a one way transaction but an exchange. I did not realize how much of my heart was postured to pour and not flow. Pouring is exhausting and draining, leaving you feeling empty and dry.
When we see our love as a pitcher, we are going to be very choosy with who we share our water with, but if we see our love as a waterfall, grounded and channeled in something deeper than just us, our love is far more fearless, authentic, and free to give to all no matter who the person is.
You are called to flow and not pour - Be a waterfall, not a pitcher.
Be a waterfall by channeling and deeply rooting yourself.
Posture your heart to know that love can not be exhausted like money or natural resources.
There is enough LOVE to go around, and if we all chose to be waterfalls, there wouldn’t be scarcity, droughts, or famines in our world.
We could live in a world that flows with love and hope.
