“Let the beauty we love be what we do.”
Right now is all we have. We don't have the moments from yesterday nor are we guaranteed tomorrow. This can be a sobering reality or a freeing epiphany. It is up to us of how we view the precious minutes on earth that we get.
You hear and probably see on rustic wooden placards that dress people's home that "today is a gift. That's why it is called the present". If you take time to sit with that for a while, and let the finite and unpredictable time we have on earth awaken your soul; something in you begins to shift.
We are created for more than this.
If what you see in your current reality is not what you saw in your dreams, then quite frankly, you have not arrived, and that is okay.
There is still hope to be the best person you want to be. You can be strong, grounded, rooted, and fulfilled. The first step is being awakened to the truth that you are capable of greatness and insurmountable creativity.
What makes your heart melt? What makes your palms sweat with excitement and thrill? What makes your soul sing?
Whatever is the answer to those questions, I encourage you to pursue it like you never have before. Make room for it because it is worth it.
I get the full-time job and student grind because I did it, and believe me the mundane in life can be so suffocating. All the more, we need to pry the jaws of apathy and fight to make room in our lives to be the innovative creators that we all are.
I find beauty in language, literature, and linguistics (and alliteration lol). The beauty I have grown to fall in love with is reaching people with spoken and written words that inspire and ignite people's souls. What is the beauty that you have fallen in love with?
"Let the beauty we love be what we do" in our lives. Let's strive to live in love and do what love compels us to do.
“In the beginning, God created...”
